 Singing Lessons

I facilitate singing/vocal coaching sessions in Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse. I am happy to coach in various styles of music, however I specialise in musical theatre and popular music genres.

My own music and singing style is Americana/Country, but I never stop learning and exploring different styles.

I do not take a 'one size fits all' approach to music tuition, and expect my students to be self-directed in their approach to music - it is very important to me that they love what they do, and are passionate about their creative pursuits.

I help students to find their own style of singing - I believe we are all born with a natural ability to sing, and I love to explore the natural voice and work from there, helping my pupils to sing whatever they wish, but in styles and keys that suit them. If a pupil wishes to compose their own music, I am happy to facilitate this also.

I have worked as a professional singer and entertainer for several years both in the UK and abroad, and taught for various institutions including stage academies, schools and colleges as well as work in musical theatre, popular music and choir composition. I no longer teach in the mainstream education system, which allows me the freedom to make my sessions completely person-centred and for the pupil to explore music however they wish.

If you or your child loves to sing, and would like to have some guidance I would love to hear from you, whatever your age or experience.

I also run sessions in music/creativity as therapy, where music or a creative skill is used as a tool for expressing grief/anxiety/depression etc. Again these sessions are completely person-centred, and my creative room is a safe space for creative exploration. I am more than happy to discuss in advance. I hold qualifications in Understanding Autism and Counselling Skills, and plan to continue my studies in Counselling.

Sessions are priced at £28 per hour and £14 per half hour, these can be booked in blocks of five or ten:-

5 half hour sessions £70

10 half hour sessions £140

A taster lesson can be booked for a fee of £10
